So try to ignore the weather out there right now, and keep the faith that it's due to clear and the sun could even break through this evening! But it's another easy call for SUP Club tonight: the tides couldn't be worse for the coast, so we're back to the river with a carbon copy of a fortnight ago. Again, this rainfall will have produced some stream, and this time we may encounter a bit of headwind on the way out, but once we've worked into it it'll all help us home in the end! So we're meeting at 6.40pm (please don't be late – and be earlier if you need to pump a board up!) for a 6.55pm launch at Mill House (by the Church Road bridge, just beyond CM3 4BG – http://www.supsect.com/mill-house-river-chelmer/). We're going to get the shortest boards / slowest / newest paddlers off first, then all comers around 7pm and finally raceboarders for 7.05pm. We're looking to make it at least three locks west towards the A12 to turn at Cuton Lock, c.7km, probably beyond to the footbridge or even roadbridge for some – everyone turning for home at 7.50pm, wherever they make it to! Then we should be all packed up and heading to the Six Bells by 9pm for drinks and hopefully in time for food afterwards...
