Discover Flying, and how to become a pilot
Learning to fly is an once-in-a-lifetime experience that is fun, exciting and interesting from the day of your introductory flight. And, much of what you’ll discover is useful even when you’re not at the controls. Learn about weather, global positioning systems, human health, internal combustion engines, aerodynamics, decision-making, and much more. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to become a Private Pilot; new pilots ranging from high school students to retired people join the community every year. Think about all the things you could do once you have a pilot’s licence!
The Rockcliffe Flying Club is hosting a free information session in June at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. This session will provide a complete overview of what it is like to be -- and how to become -- a pilot. Experienced private pilots will describe the steps it takes to get your licence at any age. Your journey of discovery can begin on Saturday, June 13 at the Bush Theatre of the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
Saturday June 13, 2015, 10:00 – 10:30 am Refreshments. 10:30am – 12:00 pm Presentation.
Best of all, this information session is FREE and you will have the chance to sit at the controls of a real airplane!
