RLC Rockets is an allstar cheerleading squad based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
With our speciality in competitive cheerleading and dance, we aim to wow audiences with a professionally choreographed, stunning display of dance and acrobatics, which is enough to maintain an exciting, adrenaline-filled atmosphere at any event.
RLC Rockets consists of members aged from 4 years old.
Training takes place every week at our own gym, Bridge Street, Hexthorpe, DN4 0AL
Times and prices as follows:
Sundays 6pm-8pm ages 16+
Wednesdays-
Cheerleading 6.15pm - 7.45pm ages 9-16
Price- £5 per session
Stunt ONLY- 7.30pm - 8.30pm ages 10-15
Price £4 per session (members £3)
Thursdays
5pm - 6.30pm ages 4 - 8 years
6.30pm - 8.30pm Youth and Junior Cheer (competition practice)
Our cheerleading classes are a mixture of
1.Dance and Technique- This part of the class the members learn jumps, leaps, turns, and splits technique and also all the arm motions and basic dance skills needed for cheer and pom routines. Cheerleaders gain confidence in performing but also have fun. A typical class is warm up and stretch, followed by drills and technique practice, work on a pom routine then finish off with circle time to show off their skills.
2.Cheer, Tumble and Stunt- This part of the class works on strength and technique in gymnastics. The cheerleaders learn everything from forward rolls and cartwheels through to flips and walkovers to use in cheer routines, they work on vocal skills by playing cheering games and making up chants for routines. The main element of the class is using their strengths for stunts and pyramids. These are taught step by step to ensure safety. Stunts involve teamwork, lifting, throwing, catching, holding and linking together
