Biography of MC Yankoo

Aleksandar Jankovic aka “MC Yankoo” was born on August 27th in Vienna. At age 13 he discovered his love for music, four years later, he signed his first recording contract. Unfortunately, it did not turn out as he imagined, but he wouldn’t give up and kept on writing and producing
With the name “Salex” and his hit Svabice followed numerous appearances with big names in the Balkan scene like Colonia, Luna, 187 and CYA.
In 2004 Yankoo deiced to take on the internatonal music market. After years of hard work, Yankoo and his group LDT finally went on tour through Italy, Austria and Germany. Not satisfied with the Latin American hip hop scene, Yankoo went back to his Balkan roots.With the Song Oziljak he had touched not only a catchy tune but also the hearts of many of his compatriots. There were other songs like Tvoje Tange, Dragana and numerous remixes which hit the club scene over night.
In 2009 he founded his own record label Yankoo Music.
With his music and videos, YANKOO went strait to te top of the Balkan Scene.
As a successful producer, songwriter and composer, he has made his passion into a profession. His independent work was also seen in the international scene. In future projects with Dj Antoine, Rene Rodrigezz and Deep Criminal will be published.
