Üritus: The Northern Coast EP release w/The Ashley Hundred, The Sweets

**THE NORTHERN COAST**

The Northern Coast was formed in the early spring of 2014, and started as the brain child of Arron Crook. In the spring of 2015, with the partnership of the fuzz laden guitar of Hunter Hansen and the thumping drums of Dustin Hertis, the sound became what it is today.

The Northern Coast is a folk rock/ alt rock, vocal driven band. They use the harsh Canadian environment and the life that comes as a result as their muse. Through folk roots and blaring blues riffs a heartbeat of thumping sound will grab you by the heartstrings. From songs like the fuzz-induced, stomp-charged "Georgia moon", to the cheeky anti-love song "Fickle", with it's contradiction laced lyrics, you wont want to miss a verse of these songs.

**THE ASHLEY HUNDRED**

The Ashley Hundred creates a rich and colourful palette of textures while surrounded on stage with a collection of instruments and effects. Reverb soaked guitars and layers of harmonies melt together in a thick cloud of atmosphere, while the banjo is given new life as it dances through an array of effects pedals and joins in the dense and lush soundscapes created by the band. Melodic bass lines often take the lead in the song, accompanied by crisp and thoughtful drumming. Failing to find inspiration by any single genre of music, The Ashley Hundred blends their favourite parts of folk, psych rock, hip hop and pop to create a unique explosion of sound, while not being afraid to let their roots show.

**THE SWEETS**

The Sweets’ sludgy blues and enchanting pop-rock is a frenzied and feverish call to the animals in the forest, a ceremony to the spirits of the night. Born from the embryos of a mutant wild flower, the quartet produces a high-energy show drawing you in with hypnotic catchiness and inviting you to indulge in your inner moonchild.
