// Biography GoldFFinch //

With releases on some of electronic music’s most respected labels including Tiga’s Turbo, Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird and Glasgow’s Numbers, Belgian Techno duo goldFFinch are definitely, in the words of DJ Mag, “making waves beyond their country’s borders”. Joining the dots between the music of Detroit, Chicago, Berlin and London, Yoann and Gilles have created their own unmistakeable sound, a dark, hard and jacking take on House and Techno that has made them a favourite of some of the biggest DJs in the world such as Skream, Jackmaster, Loefah, Annie Mac and many more.
Equally in demand behind the decks as they are in the studio, the pair’s formative years spent listening to Hip-Hop shines through in their own DJ sets as they take an eclectic approach to building a set, disregarding genre in favour of just making crowds sweat it out hard on the dancefloor. It’s a style that works and has made them a regular at some of the best clubs around the world, wow crowds at festivals across Europe and put them on first name terms with the passport control officers at Brussels International Airport.
Capping a huge 2014 that saw them feature on British tastemaker label Black Butter and score a massive club hit with ‘Endless Year’, premiered by Skream on Radio 1 and introduced as one of his tracks of the year, goldFFinch head into 2015 with a burgeoning reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting electronic acts. With 2 EPs already lined up on former M_nus star Ambivalent’s new label Valence, and the duo’s productions rapidly becoming the go to for DJs in search of a guaranteed party starter it’s a reputation that’s been hard earned but well deserved.
