Üritus: Producing Workshop with 'Red Rack'em'

A one off workshop covering various topics in writing and producing music. We will be in the very safe hands of Red Rack'em who has kindly agreed to come along and share his skills that he has perfected over a number of years.

The workshop will run for 2 hours. In that time you will be shown how his new single was made. The track will be deconstructed and built up again going through each process.

There will also be a question and answer time to dig away at this mans huge knowledge of the industry.

Cost of the workshop : £20

(This is non profitable event. This fee will cover costs of PA and projector hire and also a fee for Daniel's work)

Tutor Info:

Daniel Berman produces house, techno, hip hop, disco and bass music and remixes for several different record labels under the names Red Rack'em and Hot Coins.

As Red Rack'em, he's released music on Philomena/Innervisions, Ramp Recordings, Wolf Music and has remixed a wide range of artists including Tricky, Jazzanova, Jah Wobble and The Joubert Singers.

He's toured extensively for the last 7 years, performing DJ sets in Japan, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and many countries in Europe.

Daniel is also the man behind the Hot Coins disco project who's debut album 'The Damage Is Done' was recently released on Sonar Kollektiv and was awarded 'album of the month' by De:bug Magazine.

Berman also produces and presents his own highly regarded radio show/podcast 'The Smugglers Inn' which is syndicated to several radio stations including NTS in London, Sweatlodge in Berlin and Motion FM in Canada. He also runs 2 independent record labels Bergerac and The Smugglers Inn.

Teaching Background:

I was a music teacher for 7 years in the UK at 2 colleges in Nottingham (2002-2009) and I have also guest lectured at several educational facilities around the world including St Andrews University, Mainz in Auckland (guest lecturing for none other than Recloose), BPM College in Tel Aviv. I have also been a delegate at several conferences including Tallinn Music Week.
