Üritus: PINK Night
Pealeht > Toowoomba Volleyball Association > PINK Night
On Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th May Toowoomba Volleyball Association will be ‘pinking up’ as we take part in Breast Cancer Network Australia’s (BCNA) annual Pink Sports Day.
Toowoomba Volleyball Association will join hundreds of sporting groups nationwide to show our support for people in our local community who have been affected by breast cancer.
I have been running this PINK night for several years now, as, as many of you know, I went through the breast cancer ordeal myself back in 2011. Most of you will know some-one who has been through it so each year we do a fundraiser to support research and people going through this challenge.
On Tuesday the 10th May TVA is asking everyone to dress in PINK, buy a sausage at the sausage sizzle, buy raffle tickets, etc. Please note that you still need to have numbers on your shirt on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday 11th May TVA is asking everyone to dress in PINK, buy a sausage at the sausage sizzle, buy raffle tickets, etc. There will be a prize for the best PINK team on Wednesday night.
There are pink socks, shoelaces, etc on the BCNA website and of course this supports the cause as well. If any teams have contacts with a business that would donate a raffle prize we would be very happy to hear about it. Please pass this on to all team members.
I will be keeping you informed as we get closer but in the meantime get your team together and see what you can come up with. The weirder the better!
Cheryl Norman.
