It's time!!!!!!!....

…. Time to give you the finer details of our eagerly anticipated We Are Rhumba…. 2014 Launch Party....

We are absolutely delighted....in fact super-delighted and super-excited like little kids on Christmas Eve, to be able to announce that none other than Sasha will be making his long awaited return to the Rhumba!! No other DJ in the history of DJs has had such an aura. He is as relevant now as ever, forever pushing new boundaries and coming up with new concepts. 2013 saw his Involv3r album released and a summer spent in Ibiza playing 13 free (yes free) parties at Ushuaia Tower. His new ‘Last Night On Earth’ party hit new heights with a sell-out NYE party at the massive Brixton Academy in London. As one of our most requested DJs we felt it our duty to bring him back and now that time has come. So Rhumba people….get ready to welcome Sasha back and prepare for one of the best nights of the year!!

But before you think that is all that is on offer on this night….

Joining Sasha, we welcome back our national heroes Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle more affectionately known as Slam. Having gone down a storm at One More Tune, it was an easy choice to get them back and having found time in their busy schedule, they will be heading up the M80 to join us for this special night. Their Pressure night at The Arches is currently going from strength to strength as a mainstay in British clubbing.

And that’s not all….

Since moving back to Dundee after an epic journey with Snow Patrol it is safe to say that Tom Simpson has been greeted with open arms like a long lost brother returning home to his family…. so we thought it only fitting to invite Tom to be our newest Rhumba Resident. Arise Sir Tom ‘Rhumba Resident’ Simpson!!

Tom joins our elite and trustworthy residents Darren Davies, Alan Dobson and Nikki Flame to give us a stable of DJs any club in the world would be proud of.

But hold on there…. No Rhumba would now be complete without those loveable rogues…. Roots…. Danny Walsh and Baxter Park Sunbather will be bringing their magical box of musical treats and a few surprises as well, no doubt.

Completing the night, we welcome back Dundee's own legend Billy Morris of Electrode and from Trash Disco in Aberdeen, we have Kev Green.

So here it is then.... Friday 7th March at Fat Sam’s in Dundee.... We Are Rhumba…. 2014 Launch Party with Sasha, Slam and Friends….

Some may ask why a Launch Party? We need no excuse for a party really, but we are using this night to launch our whole year. We will announce our year ahead on this special evening and anyway it’s a bloody good excuse to reunite, have fun and a nice way to share our plans with you....

…. and there ain't no party without the best party people the world has ever seen.... yes, YOU, our Rhumba Family.... we would Love you to join us to make this a truly memorable occasion and party, Party, PARTY!!....

Tickets will be on sale this week from all the usual agents, Ticketline and the kind shopkeepers who have supported us each and every time.... This event is a much smaller event than Festival of House and there is no VIP ticket available for this night, so be fast, be flight of foot, bolt like Usain and get your tickets now.
