THE AMERICAN COMEDY CO. PRESENTS DI' LOVELY'S COMIC STRIP

San Diego, California – December 16, 2014 – The American Comedy Co. is thrilled to present Di' Lovely's Comic Strip; a night of stand-up comedy and burlesque on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Two sensational worlds of entertainment collide on one stage, live in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. This cabaret concept is reminiscent of the old vaudeville days and like those, the night will endure beautiful dancing women, and humorous jabs at current events. For the first time, a San Diego comedy club will not only feature stand-up comics, but also a variety of exceptional talents of dancing, singing, and cheeky tease by the homegrown burlesque starlet Di' Lovely, and friends. "I am honored to be involved in this production," Di' Lovely says. "I think San Diego needs this, and it's definitely the sign of the times as far as entertainment goes. Popular culture is ridiculous right now, and we get to poke fun at it. Burlesque is essentially satire. And with my particular role, my art embraces femininity to an exponential degree." Di' Lovely will headline the event hosted by Russell Brock. The cast will include burlesque performers: Dottie Deville, BB Bazoomba, and Darrce Grace; as well as heavy-hitter comedians: Shain Brenden, Jesse Egan, Dave Wright, and Nick Crosby.

DI' LOVELY has become one of the most sought-after burlesque artists in the country, being praised for her versatile dance style keeping audiences on the edge of their seats. To top off her international debut tour in 2013, she competed at the prestigious Burlesque Hall of Fame. Additional endeavors she has taken upon are teaching various dance workshops, and creating a casual apparel line for the 'Traveling Showgirl.'
