Mz Art Iz's interest in music blossomed from her Mexican culture, growing up every day with latin flavored percussion, strings, and vocals mixed with funky disco her older brothers and sisters would listen to. Out of this was born a fascination with House music, which came closest to Latin music fused with a steady disco beat.
