Loe rohkem » The Golf Illawarra district lies just south of Sydney and constitutes a coastal area extending from some 16 kms (10 miles) south of the Sydney Metropolitan area, southwards 160 kms (100 miles) to Sussex Inlet as well as the Southern Highlands. We also take in all of the golf courses in the Shoalhaven and Southern Highland areas. Affiliated membership in the Illawarra has increased from 164 club male members in 1934 to just under 8,000 in 1982. At the present day, there are over 9,000 male members, making the Illawarra District the biggest participating Golf Association in New South Wales.
