_ Architectural is Juan Rico, also known to many as Reeko, one of the most illustrious members of Oscar Mulero’s Pole Group family. Since 2010, under this alias and through his label of the same name, he has brought us some of the most fascinating music within the modern techno spectrum; elegant, minimalistic, drawing upon classic Detroit and Chicago influences and shaping them into something meticulously crafted and wholly unique, this year’s “Metropolitan Opera” mini album being a prime example. A master of elaborate mental constructs, Architectural has been procured by the likes of Aiken, Mulero or Agoria to lend his talents to a series of reworks and his music has graced mixes by the likes of DVS1, Marcel Fengler or Norman Nodge, a fact that is definitive proof of the ease with which he can move between different styles of dance music. And this is most certainly how we should welcome him: with the same willingness and open mindedness that he has shown us through his music.
