Üritus: Charleston Jazz Club's 8th Annual Charleston Jazz Jam

This year’s Jazz Jam will again benefit Charleston’s only locally owned, community based non-profit radio station Ohm Radio 96.3 FM. Featuring numerous special guests throughout the evening, the 8th Annual Jazz Jam will include four hours of unscripted, unrehearsed jazz that is free to the public. Bobby Alvarez will emcee this year’s event and lead a group of some of Charleston’s best musicians to start the show with Oscar Rivers Jr on keyboards, Wayne Mitchum on bass, Markey Morant on drums, and Chris Williams on saxophone. Lee Barbour will co host on guitar and jazz vocalists Ann Caldwell, Bobbie Storm, Kat Keturah, Alva Anderson and Christopher Hyatt will be churning it out! And. Charleston’s Bossa Nova king, Duda Lucena will also be making his annual appearance and laying down some of that smooth latin rhythm that's distinctively Duda.

Basically, we put 30 - 40 of the best in Charleston in the same room and say "have at it." There's playfull interaction, out right competition and a telephathic thing going on that makes this event so great. ” says Fassuliotis,
