Great art is often made by exploring the confines of simplicity and shirking the temptation to add more, well, stuff. While bands experimenting with strange instruments or excessive personnel can be exciting, a foundation built on anything other than focus, clear vision and expertise can appear shaky in the end. Metz, a 3-piece from Toronto, has the basics locked down. They are unapologetically loud and convey their version of rock with ferocity. On only 3 instruments.
