Donna Dunne "The Sound of Today" is one of Irelands up & coming artists. Since the release of her first EP ‘Woman in Black’ in 2012, Donna has attracted fans from all over the world. Before the release of Donna's first single, a record deal with Polydor UK was promised by Xfactors Louis Walsh and manager but Donna decided to do it her own way.

After the release of 'Woman In Black', Donna was labelled as the sound of an old 50’s rockabilly singer and the new Imelda May, who is renowned as Irelands rockabilly sweetheart. Although the ultimate compliment, Donna felt she wanted to be her own artist and flew to London with no band to meet studio owner Brandon Hoadley. Almost two years to the day, the very first session gave birth to the band you see now. Being signed in their first year and international gigs they were hit with bad
luck with the label going bust and losing all their album work..

Early 2014 saw the release of ‘Way Back Then’ and shortly after Donna and Brandon secured a six month contract in Spain coming back home only once to play on the main stage at the Groove Festival supporting David Gray and Beautiful South on the 6th July 2014.

The journey of Donna and her band continue with 2015 being the biggest year yet , filled with shows and an emphasis on the release of their new sounds and album which will be launched at the end of October in Cork. A tour will be put in place over the next few months to showcase their album launch.
