With St. Patrick’s festival just around the corner we have put together something extra special for this year in the Old Town!
It all kicks off on Tuesday 14th in Rising Sons Brewery with the start of the Cheltenham Race Festival! you can catch every race live on Cork’s largest HD screen with tasty in house brews and authentic Italian style pizza! the Beat the Brewers promotion runs Wednesday & Thursday in Rising Sons so you can double down on your bets and get the weeks celebrations off to the right start!
Thursday
night all bars in the Old Town are open late with no cover charge! so avoid the door tax and dance the night away in BDSM, Bodega, Rising Sons or The Vicarstown bar! Rising Sons will also be launching their new seasonal brew from 8pm – see facebook for more details.
Friday
is the big day, and we’re getting going nice and early! Bodega will be hosting children’s entertainment such as facepainting/clown etc for the kids, and live music on the terrace from 2pm! along side the Old Town BBQ so if you’re feeling peckish after the parade – look no further!
The thrill of the racing continues all day in Rising Sons, with live music from Kieran Murphy & Blind Lemon from 2.30 (with a break for the Gold Cup of course!)
Over on North Main Street The Roaring Forties get the party started in the window of BDSM from 3pm! a marathon trad session kicks off in The Vicarstown from 4pm in the snug (craic guaranteed!)
From 7pm hometown favourites Pontious Pilate & The Naildrivers take to the stage in Bodega with their own brand of Ska & Two Tone vibes.
As the night time arrives – resident DJs across the old town take to the decks to keep the party alive, all venues are open late with no cover charge!
Saturday
Sees the final day of the six nations rugby championship! watch all games live in Bodega & Rising Sons, as we gear up for the final Ireland game against old time rival England from 5pm!
After the match the Roaring Forties play a second show in BDSM from 6.30!
Once again Saturday night resident DJs across the old town take to the decks and keep the party alive with no cover charge across all venues.
