What do you get when you mash up a truly unique sound, futuristic style, dreams of interstellar domination and L’Oreal quality hair…?

Similarly, Melbourne’s progressive house electro trance jazz production/DJ duo, APAX, are all that – and according to their pal Chewy who had this to add – “RUUUUUrhrGUGUGHRhghghghrRURURUghGHrrrrrr...”
(translation) “and more”.

APAX, formed in 2013 and comprising Mitchell Kurz & Cameron Woodard, have over 80 dog years of experience or 140,253 hours in the music & DJ industry. Their first track “Kombat” has received support from some of AUS’s top and up n coming talent, including Joel Fletcher, Tigerlily and Skyden. And with their second original “Complex” set to be released in March 2k14, it shouldn’t be too long before they can add Calvin Harris, Quincy Jones and Radiohead to their list of beliebers.

With a love for elves and far away places, Mitch thinks he’s the Frodo of the dynamic duo, but Cam is quick to remind Mitch that he’s not the bare foot, ring bearing neo of APAX. Regardless, one thing is unquestionable about Cam & Mitch… they’re both prepared to piggy back each other to the fiery apex of Mount Doom to achieve their ultimate dream – that one day they will be the headlining DJ at the rave in Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’ video
